Lake Capitola & The Dead Seal That Floats In It

This is kinda funny, because my last post said that there were waves on the way (and yet they never really showed) and now we see the reality of a surfer's summer in Santa Cruz... could it be any flatter?

A great day for yakin', SUPin', or even getting a tan in your speedos (I prefer to tan nude though). Chances are that I'll just be drunk until the next swell hits... depression has set in.

It seems like every 2 to 3 weeks there is something dead floating in the water off the bluff. The seagulls will turn this one white within the next 4 days. Luckly the wind isn't blowing onshore right now.

Home, super-sweet home. I almost forgot how nice it is to have my own parking spot. A place where you don't have to worry about drunken Long Beach big-truck-clubbers taking your car out in the middle of the night. Sure, this whole property will probably fall into the Pacific when the "big one" hits, but until then my car will be safe.
